Day 2 – Grand Buffet Augusta GA

by Stacie Wells on March 6, 2010

The Beer Tasting event at The Snug today was a fabulous success. For today’s feature, we’re going to change directions and focus on something a little more kid-friendly.

There are some great Chinese buffets in Augusta. Shangri La is one that we frequent when we’re in the mood for Chinese. However, if you’re looking for something with a little more eclectic cuisine, Grand Buffet is the place to go! My kids absolutely love this place.

Grand Buffet - Augusta GA Restaurants

Grand Buffet is located on Wrightsboro Road across from the Augusta Mall, in the strip mall next to Kroger. It’s the perfect place for kids or large groups. The buffet is huge. There are 2 Chinese bars, a hibachi grill, sushi bar, carving station, a seafood bar, 2 American bars, and 2 dessert bars. The seafood bar features crablegs, boiled shrimp, oysters on the half shell, clams, and boiled crawfish. The American bars are perfect for kids with discriminating tastes – pizza, chicken strips, mac-n-cheese. They also include country favorites like ribs, twice baked potatoes, boiled cabbage, sweet potatoes, turnip greens and grilled fish.

Believe me, you won’t leave hungry! You can’t beat the price either. My family of 4 can eat dinner here for about $40 including seafood.

Try it and let me know what you think. If you have other favorites, please share them here!
