Riverwood Plantation
Riverwood Plantation is easily the most unique community in all of Augusta, Evans, Martinez, and Grovetown GA. This master planned community is located on 3800 acres full of mature trees and adjacent to the beautiful Savannah River in Evans GA. In fact, this Columbia County community has been named among America’s Top 100 Best Master Planned Communities by Where to Retire magazine.
Neighborhoods
Riverwood Plantation consists of 13 diverse neighborhoods, each with its own housing styles and architectural controls. The neighborhoods which make up Riverwood Plantation are Amberley, Bishops Court, Founders Village, Middleton, Mitchell Park, Morningside, Bedford, Claremont, Johnstone, Longstreet, Kenton, Pinelands, and Pennington Place.
Amenities
No matter which neighborhood you live in, you’re not far away from the amenities which make the Riverwood Plantation lifestyle so special. Interspersed among the neighborhoods are parks, bike trails, and green space. Other community amenities include a Clubhouse, Swimming Pool, Barn Pavillion, Golf, Fishing, and Nature Trails. The most notable amenity is having Greenbrier Elementary School, Greenbrier Middle School, and Greenbrier High School located within the community. Also, the Riverwood Plantation pool was recently fit with a custom dome, creating Columbia County’s first indoor swimming pool. Now you can take advantage of the heated Jr. Olympic sized pool during the winter. Annual pool membership dues for residents are $150 and non-residents pay a $300 annual membership fee. The residents of Riverwood Plantation also have their own private community website.
Champions Retreat Golf Club
A 27 hole golf club is located adjacent to Riverwood Plantation behind the gates of The Reserve. This golf course, Champions Retreat, was designed by Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, and Gary Player, in their first joint venture. Membership at Champions Retreat Golf Club is offered by invitation only, and is not included in your home or lot purchase in Riverwood Plantation.
Future plans for Riverwood Plantation include the addition of shops, offices, and restaurants to the community. Riverwood Town Center currently includes a Publix Supermarket and CVS Pharmacy in addition to a couple of other small shops.
