School will be out before we know it, and I wanted to highlight one of the local summer camps that your kids will love. Camp Lakeside is a project of the Family YMCA, and is located in Lincolnton GA on 88 acres with a lake. The fun activities offered include canoeing, archery, hiking, fishing, swimming, kayaking, peddle boats, soccer, disc golf, crafts, and much more. What I wouldn’t have done to attend a camp like this when I was a kid!
2010 Summer Day Camps include:
- Traditional Day Camp, Ages 5-12, May 24 – Aug.6 — transportation to and from Camp Lakeside is provided from 2 convenient CSRA locations. Fees: $100 per week for Family Y members, $130 per week for non-members.
- Teen Leadership Experience, Ages 13-17, May 24 – Aug. 6 — same fees as traditional day camp.
