Fort Gordon Homes for Sale
If you are PCSing into Augusta Georgia and are looking for homes near Fort Gordon, there are several neighborhoods that may interest you. The subdivisions nearest Gate 1 are in Augusta GA and the subdivisions closest to Gate 2 are in Grovetown GA.
Elderberry Subdivision
Elderberry Subdivision is located closest to Fort Gordon‘s Gate 1. This neighborhood is just a few years old, and new homes are still being constructed. The first homes built in Elderberry were brick on all four sides. These homes range in size from approximately 1600 – 3000 heated square feet, with three to five bedrooms. The newer homes in Elderberry are mostly vinyl construction as opposed to brick, but have larger room sizes in comparison to the older homes in the neighborhood. The Richmond County schools which service Elderberry are Sue Reynolds Elementary, Langford Middle School, and the Academy of Richmond County.
Pepper Hill
Pepper Hill in Grovetown is the closest subdivision to Gate 2 of Fort Gordon, although there are several others close by. The current home prices in Pepper Hill are in the 150s and 160s. Most of the homes are brick construction on slab, and sizes range from 1500s to 2000+ heated square feet. Columbia County schools which service Pepper Hill are Grovetown Elementary, Grovetown Middle, and Grovetown High School. It’s my understanding that part of Pepper Hill is serviced by Richmond County schools so please make sure to verify your school zone.
Pamir Place
Pamir Place in Grovetown is another option close to Gate 2. It is also a fairly new neighborhood if you are looking for newer construction. Home prices are approximately in the 130K to 170K range. Most of the homes in Pamir Place are brick and vinyl construction on slab foundation with 3-5 bedrooms and approximately 1400 – 2700+ heated square feet. Columbia County schools which service Pamir Place are Cedar Ridge Elementary, Grovetown Middle, and Grovetown High School.
