If you’re relocating to Augusta, either Richmond or Columbia Counties, you’ll want to make sure that you have your utilities in place before your closing date. In order to help you set up new utility accounts, the following provider information is provided to make this process easier for you. Please let us know if you have any questions!

Columbia County – 4325 Evans to Locks Road, Evans – To start a new water service, please call our Customer Service Department at (706) 863-6928. Customer Service Representatives are available for new water services between the hours of 8:00 AM until 5:30 PM, Monday through Thursday or 8:00 AM until 4:30 PM on Friday. Please call at least one business day before the water is to be turned on to avoid an extra same-day service charge.

NOTE: There is a $40.00 set-up fee charge with a one day notice. Without a one day notice, an additonal $30.00 same-day service fee will be charged.

Richmond County – You must come into the utilities office to establish a new account. The hours of operation are from 8:30 AM- 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Applicants must provide picture ID, Social Security Number or Driver’s License. Paper work indicating ownership or lease agreement/notarized letter from the property owner must be provided. They have two branch locations as follows:
